The Boys in the Light

The Boys in the Light traces two parallel journeys during World War II: Eddie Willner, seized at sixteen and forced into slave labor with his father and best friend Mike, endures three years in the death camps, including Auschwitz. Meanwhile a U.S. company of 3rd Armored Division tankers, once farmers, factory workers, and coal miners, becomes battle-hardened under 23-year-old Elmer Hovland. The narrative follows their converging paths as the company encounters the emaciated prisoners emerging from the woods with tattooed arms raised, and highlights survival, wartime bonds, and resilience under extreme conditions.
