Red Rising

Darrow is a Red, a member of the lowest caste in a color-coded future society who works beneath Mars’s surface believing his labor will make the planet livable for future generations. He is motivated by love and the hope that his children will be born free, and by Eo, who urges him to live for more than the life he was given. When Darrow discovers that humanity already lives openly on Mars and that Reds are slaves to a decadent Gold ruling class, he sacrifices everything to infiltrate the Institute, a proving ground for the Golds. There he must compete for his life and struggle against the best and most brutal heirs of Society while pursuing justice.
